Kirk ‘Doc’ Parsley - M.D. and Retired Navy SEAL

Doc’s story begins at 17 years old when he joined the Navy SEALs right out of high school. He spent the next decade of his life with no choice but to live at the peak of physical and mental performance. For most people, serving in one of the world’s most elite special forces would be enough of an accomplishment, but not for Doc.

After serving with the SEALs, Doc entered medical school at the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences (USUHS) in Bethesda. Doc graduated in 2004, 1 year after the birth of his third child. He interned in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Balboa Naval Hospital San Diego in 2005 and subsequently completed a Navy residency in Hyperbarics and Diving Medicine in 2006.

Kirk "Doc" Parsley has spoken for us, Positive Momentum LLC, twice over the last few years, and has been one of our highest-rated speakers. The first time he spoke, it was the first event we had covering "sleep and its importance to your health" and, it was a tremendous SUCCESS!!! Our attendees, like most people, said they underestimated the importance of sleep to overall health and performance, and this event "opened their eyes". He also spoke at "Momentum in the Mountains" event where Doc was a key part of the speaker lineup. In addition to sleep, Doc covered subjects on "health through an evolutionary lens", as well as the "functional medicine approach to healing". Again, the audience LOVED IT! Personally, Doc has become our trusted friend. He is a strong man both inside and out, and balances that with true compassion for others.

I hosted a big event in Austin and Doc Parsley BROUGHT DOWN THE HOUSE! It was a truly inspiring presentation. He had the crowd engaged and even on their feet by the end. Look forward to having him be part of future events!
